When DRI was contacted to take over this high quality building located in Washington, DC, The Aerospace Center was suffering from a poorly performing HVAC system, a lobby in disrepair and an overall low quality tenant environment. The owner selected DRI to reposition the asset, work with tenants to improve their quality of life, and, ultimately, sell the property for maximum value.
DRI evaluated the 400,000 square foot property and provided solutions that would maximize returns and maintain a normal work environment for existing tenants. DRI’s scope of work included extensive interior and exterior renovations, restoration of the operating systems, and lease administration. The quality of the building was raised to Class A status and was re-leased to 100% occupancy. Following the renovation and lease up, the owner was able to successfully complete a disposition of the property and maximize its return on the asset.
