DRI Development Services, LLC is a full service commercial real estate company providing a complete range of services including site evaluation, real estate development, construction management and asset management. During the past three decades, DRI Development Services, LLC, and its predecessor, Development Resources, Inc., (collectively "DRI") have developed over seventy commercial office buildings.
Founded in 1964, DRI began as a residential development company in Alexandria, Virginia. In the early 1980's DRI began developing commercial office buildings in the Alexandria market. In the mid 1980's, DRI shifted its focus to commercial properties. Many of these commercial developments were headquarters buildings for associations and other not-for-profit organizations as well as speculative for lease or for sale office buildings.
In 1989, DRI concentrated its efforts in the downtown Washington, D.C. market. In order to continue to develop and refine its understanding of the Washington metropolitan area market, DRI relocated its offices from Alexandria to Washington, D.C. Since that time, DRI has emerged as a prominent downtown commercial developer and was instrumental in revitalizing the Gallery Place / Verizon Center area. Some of DRI's more notable developments are The Executive Tower (1399 New York Avenue), 810 7th Street, American Public Health Association (800 Eye Street, N.W.), The United States Mint (801 9th Street, N.W.), 1808 Eye Street, and in Northern Virginia, Qwest Communications (Ballston Metro area), 1899 Pennsylvania Avenue, 1121 14th Street, N.W. and 1331 L Street, N.W.
DRI Development Services, LLC is an independently operated, wholly-owned subsidiary of Transwestern.
